FINAL CURTAIN FOR TV's BOZO, LARRY HARMON

Hollywood: Larry Harmon, longtime friend and colleague, passed away in Hollywood. Larry will be remembered for his development of the Capital Records character "BOZO" from Bozo's Circus, bringing the character from a record and story book to TV. After acquiring the licensing of the character in the '50's, Larry was successful bringing the Clown to life. Larry traveled the world filming clips of the BTC (Bozo the Clown) entertaining kids of all ages.

"I first met Larry in 1972 when Art and Susie Cervi (A&S Productions) approached Larry to continue the character, John Cummings comments, I was starting my career in syndication and the character (in those days) was bigger than life. A & S seceded in syndicating the new Bozo's Big Top in 109 markets until the popularity of 'TV clowns' began to drop off, Cummings remembers. One thing that stands out about Larry was his smile, positive attitude and marketing ability. Larry was the greatest licensor in the world, taking BTC, to an international level."

Larry will be missed, trade shows won't the same without him, but his works will live on...as the Clown always said "Just Keep Laughing!"

DETROIT BACKDROP FOR "TAKE MY HAND"

With script and budget a priority, TMHP, LLC is ready to shoot TAKE MY HAND as Detroit becomes the backdrop. "Areas around Detroit haven't changed in 80 years which helps us add to the authenticity of the story line" Director, J. Cummings commented, "its going into the past with all the modern amenities".

In recent meetings with Michigan's State Film Commissioner Janet Lockwood, Cummings was excited with the various locations available, eliminating large scale set construction or digital matting of street shots. "I very happy with what Michigan is offering and we'd like to give a 'shot in the arm' to their film community", Cummings added.

Recently, Michigan approved an aggressive film and TV production incentive in hope to rejuvenate the state economy and create new jobs. Film companies are flocking to Michigan beginning production at a cost savings equal to Canada but supporting Americans and American jobs. "I grew up in Michigan", said Cummings, "to bring a production back to my hometown is a story in itself. I salute the aggressive attitude of Michigan and trust we can add to the creation of jobs and get our project finished in time and on budget".

The MPC and TMHP, LLC production teams are currently looking at crew personnel and creating the production schedule. If you're a local in Michigan please contact MPC via email and submit your resume!

MPC BEGINS DESIGN ON NEW WEB SITE...MYTVLAND.COM

Burbank: Soon, producers and content owners will have a place they can call their own. MPC is designing a web site to display video clips, trailers, and demo tapes. This community of production professionals will have the ability and control to increase web traffic and visibility on a secured generic site. Once the professional site is launched, phase 2 will kick into the growing sector of serious Student Filmmakers. Research has shown other commercial sites such as U-Tube and My Space are getting cluttered by video from the public-at-large. MyTVLand.com will be able to focus on the professionals who regard filmmaking as an art not just a fun thing to do. Community Members can direct clients to the site with a more personal look along with other related information to assist in the production process. The site will also offer downloads of filmmakers productions and TV series. The new site is slated for a fall '08 launch.
