BURBANK/ORLANDO: As MPC moves into the new year with exciting projects, the company will also move into a new way how we store our video or film images.

In the past, we built our masters, sub-masters, edited masters and all of the images shot were stored in a vault until we needed them again. Box after box, placed on shelves, boxes identified and an inventory list was created and placed in a book.

The times have changed. Now, MPC will make a major purchase to store our media or data on hard drives. These hard drives will be somewhat mobile or at least placed at the post house where the files can be accessed when needed. This procedure will also identify when someone is going into the files, what their looking at and other information so our company has a full profile on what is happening with our media. Once we leave the post house, we take our drives with us.

These new formats and operations will change the way we do business. It gives full control and allows us to store a massive amount of images in one logical location. Of course, back ups will be needed, careful investigation on the purchases and reliability factors are essential, but it moves the company into a safer (we think) better workflow.

We embrace new concepts for 2009 that should make our jobs better and cost effective for all future projects.

This is an open opportunity for talented people to show off their abilities, professionalism, enthusiasm and personalities to be in this movie. Please be prepared to show the Judges your stuff. We will provide an organ and/or piano, our music coordinators will need to have your sheet music prior to auditioning. If you don't have sheet music, please make sure our music coordinator knows your tune. Anyone under age of 18 must be accompanied by parent or legal guardian. Contestants must bring a photo ID, be a US Citizen, complete mandatory forms and releases to participate.

The contestants will be reviewed by the Judges and those chosen to be in the movie will be contacted. Others who may not be chosen for the movie, may have the opportunity to appear on a notional television series. All talent chosen will be notified by the producers. Travel and accommodations for the winning participates will be handled by the production company. The predominately African-American cast will be on-location for the filming once all auditions are completed and filming begins.
