MPC TEAM
John C. Cummings, Chairman and Founder of MPC. He organized the company 1985 to create production, worldwide clients services and industry support within the business he's embraced since 1971. Mr. Cummings oversees all activities of the Motion Picture Co. Inc. from his office in Burbank, California.

His understanding of budgets, production equipment and story development has presented him with the opportunity to be chosen as Producer, Director and/or Show Runner for both screens on projects viewed widely from a domestic and internationally level.

During his 3+ decades of work, Mr. Cummings has been an intricate part of some of the largest campaigns in broadcast history. Other accomplishments achieved include the design and management of four sound stages, national syndication of television programs and creating the largest camera support company in the south east region of the U.S.

Mr. Cummings has been a two term president of the state Florida Motion Picture and TV Association, taught TV and Film at the University of Central Florida and Valencia Community College and has sat on Industry Boards. A filmmaker, create resourse and highly knowledgeable in the production business.

Ms. Nancy Flesher is Chief Financial Officer of the Motion Picture Company, Inc. and works diligently from the headquarters in Central Florida. When it comes to MPC ledgers, no one knows 'best' the growths, declines and accomplishment of the company. Nancy has maintained MPC bookkeeping for nearly 20 years.

Nancy's diverse background in motion picture, stage and television productions have brought some of the largest entertainment clients her way. Her extreme knowledge of union and below-the-line budgeting issues has made her an asset to several production final auditing procedures.

Nancy continues to assist below-the-line production crew with tax issues, financial planning and guild or union pay structures. Her involvement in Women in Film and other industry organizations keeps her skills up to date and pencil sharpened.

Rebecca "Becky" Gatti, continues to assists MPC with logistics, legal matters and daily operations as Director of Operations. Seasoned in corporate legal business issues, Becky took the challenge entering the motion picture and television industry after completing law school and passing the California Bar.

Her ethics and judgement allows comprehensive evaluations of industry issues in line with business concepts on the most delicate topics. Becky maintains a positive, professional entrepreneurial spirit, reflected in her dealings with the entertainment industry.

Becky currently oversees the operational structure of MPC film and TV projects while handling daily activity from the branch office in Burbank, CA.

Paul Kaloyeropouolos is Chairman of Cross Productions and Cross Entertainment, LLC, in Burbank, California and Jacksonville, Florida. As an accomplished writer (scribe), Paul has penned a collection of family oriented screenplays and television shows, in collaboration with MPC.

Paul’s diverse career ranges from the television program “Hard Copy” to staff writer on the popular talk show “The Good Life”. Among his many screenplays Paul has been awarded international acclaim for the short subject movie “I Am Much More” winning the Cine Eagle Certificate Award. The piece was featured at Cannes Film Festival and later aired on Public Broadcasting. The stories Paul has penned have wonderful family content, which both companies believe is the future of valued programming and big screen successes.

Paul’s seasoned experience as a filmmaker and talents behind the camera will add great substance to the projects MPC is developing. His creative talents and vision will equate to larger productions with enhanced profits to both companies as well as our supportive investors.

Melva McReynolds Akens is no stranger to a movie set. Melva has produced and managed projects for Sea World, Hasbro, Nickeleon Studios, Universal City Walk, Disney Cruise Lines and numerous production companies. Melva continues to serve as a board of Director for the Global Peace Film Festival and The African American Advisory Panel is with WESH News Channel 2 (an NBC affiliate). She is a founding board member of Women In Film & Television International, as well as past-president of Women In Film International-Florida.

Akens Design, Inc. specializes in Styling, Image Enhancement, Event Design and is a respected Etiquette Expert. Melva was raised in South LA (Compton) and is a proud alumnus of Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. Her background in design will be invaluable to MPC projects and GOOD NEWS BLUES Productions.

Rev. Alexander Hamilton joins the Motion Picture Company, Inc. and on the "GOOD NEWS BLUES" motion picture. Alex has played and/or conducted and/or arranged for: Lola Falana, Gladys Knight & The Pips, Bill Cosby, The Friends Of Distinction, Leslie Uggams, Lou Rawls, Esther Rolle, The Staple Singers, Solomon Burke, Joel Grey, Sammy Davis Jr., Ben Vereen, Liza Minelli, Mabel King, Natalie Cole, Etta James, James Cleveland, Cassietta George, Bessie Griffin, Shirley Caesar, Mahalia Jackson, and many others. He arranged & conducted Aretha Franklin's Grammy-Award winning "Amazing Grace" Gospel album, he co-wrote the million-seller Gospel hit "He's A Miracle Worker" with Eddie Kendrix and appeared in many recordings, television shows, and concerts across America.

Since March of 1973, Alex has served as director of The Voices Of Inspiration, a Christian community choir based in Compton, CA. Under his leadership, their professional credits include television appearances with The Beach Boys, Diahann Carroll, Debbie Boone, Phil Driscol, Lola Falana, Barbara Mandrell, Jerry Lewis, and a record album with the group "Chicago". Hamilton's choir featured in the television pilot "Easy Street " and were profiled "On Stage America", and have appeared several times on The Soul Train Christmas Special. In June of 1985 they competed with over 75 choirs from the Southern California area and became the very first Grand Prize winners in the, "McDonald's Gospelfest" competition now in its twenty year. The Voices presently have three albums released: "Glory, Hallelujah!” "God Can", and a Christmas album: "Praise Him Till".

Alex will oversee the traditional aspects of Gospel music as well as other forms of music featured in the theatrical release. We're honored to have Alexander Hamilton as a core team member on this historical motion picture, based on the life of Dr. Thomas A. Dorsey, Father of Gospel Music.

Joanna Paxinou is an award-winning business writer with 15 years experience in corporate communications. She has also edited several fiction and non-fiction books. In addition to writing BLACK ICE and HOUSE OF GOLD, she has coordinate a film script entitled THE CIRCLE OF OLYMPIANS…RETURN TO POWER, as well as a mystery novel entitled KILLER IN THE HOUSE.

Joanna has a BA degree from Hunter College in English/Journalism, and studied script writing for eight years in invitation-only workshops conducted by New York University faculty. She also recently participated in an online writing course at UCLA. She is a member of Women in Film and Greek Americans in Entertainment. A native New Yorker, Joanna currently resides in Northern California.

Joann Sanneh spent three decades researching historical facts surrounding Col. Charles Young. This artist, writer, educator and curator helped establish the first museum in Gambia, West Africa. Ms. Sanneh worked for the U. S. Embassy in Gambia before returning with her family to the United States.

Her many awards include: recognition for achievements, outstanding leadership and dedication to improving the quality of life. In 1996-97 Ford Motor Company named Joann with the Journalism Advisor of the Year. Retiring as an Educator in 2004, Joann Sanneh went on to receive the Spirit of Detroit Award in 2007.

She holds a Masters of Arts and Master of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelors of Art Degree from Wayne State University.

David Winans II
An artist and music producer are but a few titles David Winans holds to his credit. David, growing up on the road with his famous Gospel family "The Winans" has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the music and television industry. A past Warner Music executive, David joins MPC as a producer for tvarious projects overseeing the music and compositions of scoring films and television productions under development.

David is a positive addition to the MPC family and will put his touch on all of the projects.
